Frans Vermeulen is one of our greatest homeopathic scholars and his books go well beyond most other homeopathic materials into the inner story of the remedies. Prisma is my favorite - there are two hundred remedies from Aconite to Zinc explored in painstakingly researched detail covering the history, folklore, myths, chemical, botanical or zoological make-up of each remedy. There's old, new and re-provings, clinical symptoms, contemporary concepts, themes and issues. Many homeopaths believe this is the most important book they own - but beyond that it is just fascinating to read.
